150 years ago a group of Welsh pioneers arrived in Patagonia aboard the tea-clipper Mimosa. They numbered fewer than 200 people. Unfortunately, they found that Patagonia was not quite the friendly, fertile land they had been expecting.
The BBC’s Huw Edwards fulfils a long-cherished dream to travel to Patagonia. In this programme he tells the story of the Welsh in Patagonia, meets some of the descendants of the pioneers and looks into the legacy they have left in the Chibut province of Argentina.
